Past and Present:  Bayman’s Daughter Interview at Meadow Croft Estate 

Hosts – Bayport Blue Point Heritage Association and Sayville Historical Society 

On the grounds of the historic Roosevelt estate on Brown’s River at Meadow Croft, past and present come together on Saturday, October 30^th at 2pm.  Join James Bertsch, the Bayport Blue Point Heritage Association and the Sayville Historical Society as we host Theresa Dodaro for an audience discussion about the Bayman’s Daughter.  The Bayman’s Daughter is a historical novel that draws from our local history.  It tells the tale of a man traveling from 2012 to meet his destiny on the eve of the Harvest Blood Moon, which is also the night of Super Storm Sandy.  His destiny is to be with a woman living at Meadow Croft in 1912.  Together this couple, as Ms. Dodaro explains, finds “courage, compassion, understanding, and both love and loss; but most of all, they will find a family of their own.”
